The hotel is well-furnished, but I had a few small gripes: 1 the towels showed their age and were worn quite thin, 2 the pillows had an artificial filling and again were showing their age, 3 the chair at the desk was not height adjustable and was a bit too low to make it comfortable to use my laptop there there was a table and chairs in Reception where the chairs were the correct height for the table , 4 it was impossible to use the shower without getting water on the floor, not helped by there being a leak where the glass met the wall, so water flowed out there as well.

Racketing the customer under the cover of the Covid crisis. This was a determining criteria for hotel selection during my transit in Frankfurt.

On arrival at the airport I call the hotel to know what time is the next shuttle and I find out that there is no shuttle service during the Covid crisis but that fortunately the driver is on his way to the airport to drop a customer so he can pick me up.

Hum okay, it all ends well. Check in was great, the clerk was polite and professional with amazing customer skills.

Hum okay why not. I go back to the reception and ask the clerk why the fare is not cheaper as the other clerk had said earlier and he got really upset and dismissive, just saying 'It is Covid what do you expect'?

Well I expect that the hotel is not lying to its customers to attract them there and that the hotel is not capitalizing on a pandemic!

The only other thing the clerk said is 'I can cancel the shuttle and call you a taxi if you prefer; As if anybody would do this time wasted and maybe money on top and I was stupid.

For some reason, the driver gave me an earful about my attitude so I refused to tip him and had nothing to say to him.

Under normal conditions, this hotel is probably ok. However, at this time due to world protests over the police and racism, I don't recommend that Americans stay there for safety reasons.

I will gladly return to the friendly, welcoming IBIS hotel next door when it opens again for guests. Until then, I will book a room at one of the hotels at the airport though much more expensive but safer.

I had no idea this hotel was in the red-light district, in an area really not very nice and to be avoided.

I was staying in a suite, which was really terribly decorated and felt old, eve if hotel renovated only a couple of years ago.
